About Leo’s Boys
Leo`s Boys and Girls tug of war club was formed in 2001, the senior people at that time were, Leo Collins, our club Icon whom the club was named after. Leo started pulling way back in 1968 and is still pulling and training up to the present time.
Our training ground is just outside the Village of Benburb. We train there on Monday and Thursday evenings from approx 8-00pm until 10-00pm.
At the beginning of the year Feburary and March we do physical training and then progress to rope work, starting our pulling season in April
We have progressed from then to now representing N Ireland on a number of occassions at U K`s , European and World levels at both outdoor and indoor.
We are now recruiting
January / February is the time of year you look to the gym or join keep-fit classes and a few weeks later you find it is not the motivation or sport you what you were looking for. So why not try some thing completely different, outside the box. A sport that brings cardio, strength building, core building, conditioning and weight loss, with the support of a coach, in the company of a mixed ability team , being competitive, learning new skills and technique , pushing yourself to new limits in the company of others aged from 15 –60 yrs old, male or female. Have been a regular gym goer..?? this is the new sport for you, New companions , new interest in a sport that you can do forever.
